| Many riders purchase cycling shorts to take advantage of their breathable and wicking fabric and comfortable padding. That's a great start, but did you know that cycling gloves offer protective and comfy padding too? And, have you considered a jersey? Much more than a fashion statement, they wick and breathe to keep you dry, plus they often include long zippers for easy on/off and ventilation. And, they have easily accessed pockets in back perfect for your energy food, cell phone and wallet. Swing by and try one on! |

I was thinking the other day and realized that June of 2011 marks the 32nd anniversary of our beginnings. That's a long time. Longer than a lot of bike store staff has even been born! We've watched the evolution of bikes from steel frames to an almost complete change to carbon fiber. We changed our name just over 23 years ago. For Optimum Comfort, Check Your Road Bike Handlebar Width - Surprisingly, with all the attention paid to road bike seat height and stem length, handlebar width is often overlooked. Unfortunately, bars that are too narrow can leave you feeling cramped, contribute to numbness in your hands and cause difficulty breathing. And, bars that are too wide can make you feel stretched out and can also contribute to hand numbness. The handlebars that come stock on most bikes get wider as the frame size gets larger. Consequently, if you are tall with narrow shoulders or short with wide shoulders, and you did not change the width of your handlebar, it's possible that you're a candidate for a change. If you question how your handlebars fit, we can help.
